)Turn your personal photos into a gorgeous memory book made of fabric. A fabric photo book is a delightful sensory experience of colors, textures and embellishments. The hands that will hold your fabric book will explore the tactile elements you add...frayed cloth, hand stitching, a button here, a bead there.... Whether you want to use your sewing machine or would rather glue and fuse your project, you can make a beautiful fabric book with your personal photos.
In this class students will:
- Learn to print and transfer your own photos onto fabric using a variety of products and techniques, some of which you may have never heard of!
- Color fabrics in various ways with paint, stamps, dyes and more
- Create unique embellishments and learn simple hand embroidery stitches
- Create a 6" x 8" 8-fold fabric book
- Learn how to fuse your project as a no-sew option
This class will include easy to follow instructional slide shows with audio, PDF tutorials, sample projects, a student gallery and discussion forums.
