Fabric: What, How, and WOW!
This is a great class for non-sewers and sewers alike.
Do you want to venture out and use fabrics in your crafting? Are you unsure of which kind to use, how to use it or how to adhere it? Want to kick-start your fabric-crafting mojo? Do you have a stash of fabric that you'd like to put to good use?
If you've answered "yes" to any one of these questions, then this is the class for you. Come learn all about the different types of fabric and how to use it in your various crafting projects. We'll talk about how to use fabric in your die cutting machines. We'll go over a plethora of fabric adhesives and fusibles. You'll get the answers to those burning questions you've had about fabric like, "Do I really need to wash it before I use it?" and "What are warp, weft, bias, grain, and selvage?" (GASP!
In this class students will:
- learn about different fabrics, terms, tools, and threads
- learn about various fabric adhesives, fusibles and stiffeners
- learn how to craft with fabric including using your die cutting machines
- use fabric each week to create cards, handmade journals, photo frames and more
- be ready to take on other fabric art classes
This class will include easy-to-follow narrated slide shows, PDF tutorials, sample projects, student art galleries, and discussion forums.
