Join me in this fun and festive Sewing on Paper class as we learn the basics of machine and hand stitching on paper and complete 4 fun decorative Holiday projects that can be tailored to meet any holiday. In this class we will incorporate new and old papers, glitter, lace, ribbon, vintage buttons and more to create a beautiful banner, stamped and collaged cards, one of a kind gift tags, and unique and one of a kind Christmas tree decorations.

Techniques you will use in Stitch up a Happy Holiday:

Learn how to make a banner that you can easily customize for any occasion, create beautiful shimmery stamped images using watercolor paints and Glimmer Mist and then collage into holiday cards or collages, create a beautiful set of holiday tags using scraps of papers and vintage cards and more lovely projects.

  • Use stitching templates
  • Collage and paper layering techniques
  • Hand stitching on paper
  • Use your sewing machine
  • Layering papers and adding embellishments
     

My classes include narrated slide shows, handouts, sample projects and technique variations, student art galleries, discussion forums and informational links.
