Out of the Journal and Onto the Art - Extended Enrollment

In this trend-setting new course at My Creative Classroom, Catherine will walk you through 5 weeks of fun exercises to encourage you, teach you and give you the skills to start making beautiful works of art...starting with a doodle. If you already find yourself making little drawings everywhere, you'll learn how to take them from small to big...from inside the private pages of your art journal, scraps of paper or napkins to the public domain of a canvas you can hang on your wall.

You will start with the basic, simple tools from the office supply store and transition to the aisle at the craft store that carries paint, canvases and painting supplies..and finally onto the aisles of the art store.

Each week the lesson will include information to help you use the supplies you may already have or aren't sure about purchasing. With simple techniques and exercises presented in the class each week you will gain the skills to master color mixing, to turn a doodle into a drawing and make your art something to share instead of hiding in your journal or on scraps of paper in the junk drawer.

Each lesson in this 5-week course will feature videos, presentations and a handout to print and refer to after the course has ended. If you are new to art supplies, Catherine will give you a complete run-down on what's available, where to find it, and how to use it as well as information about color, mixing paint and collage techniques to use in all your artistic endeavors.

Extended Enrollment classrooms include all course materials and are available only after enrollment in instructor-led classes. This classroom contains no message boards, student gallery or teacher communication.
